We're schooling!

The little boy started school yesterday. I think I was more excited for him than he was. I guess all first time parents are.
The pre-school he's going to is literally right beside our house. as in we get out of our house, walk about 20 steps or so and we're in school! so it works very well for us. He can stay there late and play because it'll take us a minute to pick him up, plus any one of us can pick him up.
So there we were with all the 1st day supplies needed and his teeny tiny bag of well ... snacks and change of shirt. The teacher pointed where his classroom was and lo and behold, he went there straight without looking back at mommy and dada and just started talking to the teachers!
I felt like crying. hahah!
I was cryingn and laughing at the same time. Laughing at myself for being so ridiculously sentimental, but it was a great feeling! I never expected I'd feel so proud of a pre-schooler
but i was. I thought some moms were just overly sentimental and emotional. I mean, their kids are only going to play-school essentially. Well -- it all came back to me hahah! I literally told my husband, I think I'm gonna cry!
I was so proud that he didn't feel shy about going in and talking to his teachers, he didn't look for mommy or dada the whole time and he actually enjoyed it!
aahhh.. the wonders of parenthood.
Made me think, what more if he finishes school? and then live on his own? then get married? oh my....
